Maruchan's life in San Vicente was unstable and unsafe, but everything changed when she was finally brought into care. She is a distemper survivor, with a small mouth/body twitch that shows up mostly when she is resting, but it does not slow her down or dim her sweetness one bit.

She is a quiet, lower energy girl, who loves being close to people and does well with other dogs, though the busy shelter life is a lot for her. She previously lived with several cats and is totally comfortable around them. Her vetting is complete, and she is healthy after treatment for ehrlichia.

Now she is ready for a calm, loving home where she can finally exhale.

Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You'll meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home.

It can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels during May and June, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable.

We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border. This remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward.
