This handsome guy is a Lab mix, and at just 47 pounds, he is a perfectly portable medium package. He's compact enough to join you on all your errands but big enough to hold his own during a game of fetch. In his foster home, January has been a total star and an absolute joy to have around. He handles his car rides with curious eyes and is always ready to see where the next destination might be. He's a smart cookie who is eager to please, making him a dream to have in a home environment!

Ideal Home

The ideal home for January is one that appreciates both his adventurous side and his love for downtime. Because he's so compact and has such a great off-switch, he could thrive in an apartment just as easily as a house with a yard! He just needs a soft spot to land and a human who doesn't mind a little extra help "supervising" the kitchen or the couch.

Ongoing Health

January has received all necessary vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. He has also been tested for heartworm.

Training & Support

January is learning all about the good life, including how to be a polite house guest and a brave traveler. He is a smart cookie who is eager to please, making him a dream to have in a home environment! When it comes to other dogs, January is a social butterfly! He has a playful spirit and would be best paired with a dog who has a similar "play hard, nap harder" energy level. Transporation

January is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
