Masha is a stunning Alaskan Husky, about 5 years old and weighing around 55 lbs. She has captivating sky-blue eyes and a noble presence that makes her unforgettable. Masha is calm, affectionate, and loves people, eager to please and quick to learn. She's loyal, brave, social, and has a wonderfully balanced temperament. Masha is playful, fun, and a bit of a "chismosa," adding to her charm. She does well in a crate for up to 12 hours and walks on a leash, though she can pull with excitement. She enjoys toys but can be a bit possessive. When bored, she might chew on things, and like a true Husky, she loves to howl and bark, with a stubborn streak. Masha has been waiting five years for her forever family and deserves a home where she can experience all the joys of life. She's more than just a dog; she's a majestic soul, a loyal companion, and a loving friend.
Ideal Home
Masha would thrive with a very active family who has experience with dog behavior and training. She would do well in a home with other dogs and children, as she is loving and gentle with kids. Potential adopters should have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals and understand they may require extra protection and education. Patience and high tolerance are a must for integrating a rescued dog into your home.
Ongoing Health
Masha is spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and will receive one month of flea, tick, and heartworm preventative (NexGard). She will also come with a health certificate.
Training & Support
Masha is not house-trained and may chew on inappropriate items when bored or without toys. She can be territorial with other dogs, especially dominant ones, and while not aggressive, she likes to establish herself as the boss. Owners should be prepared for her Husky tendency to howl and bark and her stubborn streak. She will need consistent training and patience to help her adjust and learn new behaviors. Potential adopters need to understand that rescued dogs may have been traumatized and require an adjustment period.
