If you're looking for a dog who checks all the boxes, look no further than Ivy!
Ivy is a beautiful 1-year-old Redbone Hound/Labrador Retriever mix with a heart as big as her smile. Weighing approximately 50 pounds, this sweet girl is the total package—loving, smart, easygoing, and incredibly well-mannered. Ivy has never met a stranger. She absolutely adores people and greets everyone she meets with a wagging tail and her signature paw shake. One of her favorite things is offering her paw for attention, and she's always ready to soak up affection from her favorite humans. Ivy's best buddy, our German Shepherd Roxas, usually does not like most dogs, but adores Ivy, which shows the calming effect Ivy has on other doggies. When they go on walks, you can see her video, how this wonderful girl walks beautifully on a leash and has excellent manners both at home and out in public. She is the kind of dog who easily adjusts to new situations and takes life's changes in stride. Whether you're enjoying a quiet evening at home or heading out for an adventure, Ivy is happy to be by your side. Ivy is also fantastic with other dogs and enjoys making new canine friends. Her friendly and gentle nature makes her a joy to have around. Sadly, Ivy found herself in a high-kill shelter through no fault of her own. Shelter staff quickly noticed what a special dog she was, and her sweet temperament helped save her life. Now she is ready for the happy ending she deserves—a forever family who will shower her with the love and affection she so willingly gives to everyone around her.
