Mona

Meet Mona! This gorgeous 2-year-old Mountain Cur mix is a sweet, smart, and active girl who loves to play. She was surrendered with other dogs due to her owner falling on hard times, but Mona is now ready for her happily ever after. She's an energetic goofball who is completely obsessed with stuffed toys! Mona is independent in the best way – she enjoys some love and attention but is also content doing her own thing. She walks well on a leash and is eager to explore new smells. Mona did a fantastic job sitting with volunteers at a restaurant, and while she had moments of wanting to greet people and other dogs, she listened well when asked to return and settle. We promised Mona that the rest of her life would be the best of her life. Could you be the one to make that promise a reality?

Mona is learning to be a real dog and is doing well, but she is still working on her greetings with people and other dogs. She responds well to redirection.
