Stevie Wonder is a 10-year-old, 30-pound gentleman with a gentle heart, a quiet soul, and a whole lot of love to give. He may be diabetic and have limited vision, but he doesn't let that stop him from living a full, happy life at his own pace. Stevie follows the sound of your voice, listens to commands, and responds best to a calm, patient presence. He can even run with the big dogs now! He's housebroken and needs someone who can help him stay on a routine, with opportunities to go out during the day and possibly once at night. Stevie does great on leash and is comfortable in a house or apartment, as long as there are no stairs or someone committed to helping him navigate safely. He's good with other dogs who respect his space and prefer calm, polite pups. Stevie doesn't bother with cats and is not interested in engaging with them. Young children may not be the best fit, as he can be a little nippy when startled, but respectful older children who understand his needs would be just fine. One of his favorite things is relaxing with his foster mom in the evenings. Stevie is a sweet, loving soul who has already made significant progress in foster care and will continue to blossom with time, love, and patience. He's not looking for fast-paced or flashy, but for steady, gentle, and kind companionship. If you're ready to give a special guy the chance to shine in his own quiet way, he promises to be a wonderful companion.
