Taylor is a beautiful 1-year-old female dog with a heart of gold, eager to find her forever home! She was rescued in October 2024 with her nine puppies from a situation where they were left exposed to the elements. After a year in rescue, Taylor was adopted, but unfortunately, she was recently returned due to nipping behaviors when people approached her space. Her previous adopters felt they couldn't provide the specialized care she needed with a new baby and frequent visitors. Taylor is a favorite among our volunteers, who enjoy taking her on adventures and long walks. She is smart, affectionate, and has excellent manners in the home, respecting boundaries and being mindful around children. While she can tolerate other dogs, she'd be happiest as the sole canine in her new family. Taylor is house-trained, settles well in her kennel, and is best suited for a single-family home due to her tendency to be vocal when alone.
Ideal Home
Taylor needs an experienced home with someone familiar with large working breeds who understands the importance of advocating for her space and respecting her boundaries. She needs a securely fenced yard and cannot be placed in a home with cats or other small animals due to a high prey drive.
Ongoing Health
Taylor's adoption fee of $575 includes her spay surgery, core vaccinations (Rabies and DPPV), microchip, and a recent health check with a veterinarian.
Training & Support
Taylor has shown a tendency for low-level nipping when her space is invaded by unfamiliar people. It's crucial for her new family to help her build trust at her own pace and manage her environment to prevent such situations.
