About Bear

Bear is a 6-year-old, 18-pound sweetheart who is searching for his forever home! He's a shorty with an undeniable charm, and we believe he might be a Basset Hound mix due to his adorable stature. Bear's tail wags non-stop when he's around other dogs, whether they're big or small, and he's proven to be a friend to feline friends too! Children are no problem for Bear; he just wants to shower them with all the love he has to give.

One of Bear's most endearing quirks is his absolute devotion to his blankets. No matter the temperature, he must have one! You'll often see him creating a cozy nest, then emerging to play before returning to his beloved blanket. He's an expert at dragging it around, making his blanket obsession even more adorable. Bear is a house and crate-trained, quirky, fun, playful, and gentle soul. If you have an abundance of blankets, that's an extra bonus for this special boy! Bear was surrendered when his elderly owner could no longer care for him, and he's ready to start his next chapter with a loving family.

Ideal Home

Bear would love a home where he can share his endless supply of love and where his blanket obsession can be celebrated.

Ongoing Health

Bear will be neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccinations, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. He will also be up-to-date on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Bear is already house and crate trained, making him a well-mannered companion ready to settle into your home.
