Max

Max is a handsome 4-year-old, 55-pound Shepherd mix with a heart full of love to give! He was found on the streets of Houston and after a year in boarding, he's ready for a special home that will shower him with the patience and affection he deserves. Despite his age, Max has some puppy-like tendencies, including play biting, which can be managed with consistent guidance. Having spent time in boarding, he can experience separation anxiety, but with time and understanding, this can be resolved. Max is a social butterfly, getting along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and even cats! He's also proven to be a hit with children, as he adored a temporary foster family with kids aged 5-9. Max loves to cuddle and is a big fan of playing fetch.
