Rocket, a handsome 3-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pit mix, is ready to steal your heart! Weighing in at a lean 65 lbs, he's a muscular and affectionate companion with incredibly soft ears. Rocket's resilience shines through his story: he was found injured on the side of a highway in Houston but, even then, he allowed himself to be rescued. After weeks of dedicated veterinary care, he's fully healed, heartworm-negative, and eager to shower his new family with love.

Ideal Home

Rocket is a true "easy keeper" who enjoys both playtime and relaxation. He's happy to chase a ball in the yard and then settle into his crate for hours. He's been gentle and patient with young children in his foster home, making him a great fit for a family with kids. He's also dog-friendly and would likely enjoy a canine sibling or could be content as your sole furry companion.

Ongoing Health

Rocket has fully recovered from his past injuries and is heartworm-negative. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines.

Training & Support

Rocket is a well-trained pup who is house-trained and crate-trained. He walks beautifully on a leash and knows basic and advanced obedience commands, including sit, down, stay, come, and heel. He's e-collar trained, though he rarely needs it. Rocket is a champion chewer and thrives with durable rubber toys.
