Meet sweet Caneel! This adorable 8-year-old girl weighs just 7 pounds and is ready to leave her breeding farm days behind in exchange for a loving forever home. Caneel is a breeder release, so this may be her first time in a home, and she is loving it! She is thriving after only a few short weeks in foster. She is potty trained to potty outside, and on a pad when home alone. She needs to be taken out somewhat often, and sometimes needs a little time outside to go, but with a patient adopter and maybe a doggie mentor, she will be used to potty habits in your home in a few short weeks. When shes home alone she sleeps. She has access to most of the house and its just fine. She definitely does not need to be crated, ever. Caneel sleeps soundly all night in the big bed with the resident chihuahua and the cat. She gets along great with everyone. She doesn't get in anyone's way or business, so she would absolutely be fine in a home with cats. She would also love another small doggie companion to continue learning from, but if she has a human to love her and give her attention and cuddles, she would be fine without a doggie friend too. Caneel is still afraid of noises and fast movement, so she skitters away, but she's back in action as soon as she sees everything's okay. Caneel really deserves to be in a loving home where she feels above all: safe. Although she has no teeth, she's a great eater. She has only barked a few times at night when a motorcycle goes by, or that pesky garbage man, but she settles immediately after a few pets and reassurance. So far thunder doesn't seem to be a bother. If you're looking for a darling, quiet, loving, little companion, Caneel is your girl!
Ideal Home
Caneel needs a calm home, preferably without young children, as they are a bit too loud and too fast for what Caneel needs.
