Ranger D7500 (Argus)

Ranger is a magnificent 3-year-old German Shepherd who is friendly, dog-social, and a fantastic hiking buddy! He is very well-trained, knows all basic obedience, and has a great recall. Ranger loves to be with his people and his ball, and he's even been known to jump into a pool to fetch his favorite toy! He enjoys daily walks or jogs, games of fetch, and weekly hikes and swims. Despite his active nature, Ranger is calm and gentle inside the home, enjoying relaxing on his dog bed. He is crate-trained and settles well when left alone with a sturdy crate. Ranger is smart, listens well to commands, and is eager to please. He was rescued from a distant shelter when his time was running out.

Ideal Home

Ranger needs an active home with adults only who have experience with German Shepherds, particularly those with protective traits. He thrives with a consistent routine and benefits from quiet surroundings. Introductions to new people should be managed, either on leash or by having him in a separate area until the visitor leaves. He does not do well with busy households with frequent visitors or strangers.

Ongoing Health

Ranger has no known ongoing health issues.

Training & Support

Ranger is very well-trained and knows many commands. He will guard his home and family from strangers, a natural trait of his breed. His new family should understand and manage these protective instincts with proper introductions. He needs a strong, secure crate when left alone, as he has learned to escape less sturdy options.
