Meet Sandi!
Sandi is an adorable 8-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing approximately 8 pounds. This sweet apricot-colored girl may be small in size, but she has a huge heart and so much love to give. Found as a stray, Sandi is now enjoying the comforts of foster life and is ready to find the forever family she deserves. If you're looking for a loyal companion, Sandi is sure to be your perfect match! She quickly settles into new surroundings and becomes a devoted little shadow, happiest when she's close to her people. She loves snuggling on the couch, relaxing on the porch, and spending time outdoors enjoying playtime in the yard. One of her favorite games is chasing and playing with anything dangly—even a simple string tied to a stick can keep her entertained! Sandi is incredibly affectionate and has plenty of charming ways to show it. She'll gently paw at you when she wants pets, shower you with kisses, and greet you with adorable little nose bumps. While she can be a bit unsure when visitors first enter the home, she warms up quickly and soon becomes their biggest fan. When out on walks or visiting pet-friendly stores, Sandi happily accepts attention and pets from everyone she meets. She gets along very well with other dogs and adjusted quickly to her canine foster siblings. Her foster believes she could also do well in a home with cats.
Ideal Home
Sandi's ideal home would be one where someone is around much of the time, as she loves being with her people. She also requires a securely fenced yard, preferably with a taller fence, as she is curious and clever and has been known to climb, jump, and use nearby objects to help her explore.
Ongoing Health
Sandi is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Sandi is potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, knows "come" and "leave it," and responds well to verbal correction. Sandi can be a little cautious around sudden movements, loud noises, and the vacuum cleaner, but when she's feeling unsure, she typically chooses to hide or give a warning growl rather than react aggressively.
