Gertie Giggles

Agent Gertie Giggles is on a mission! Gertie was surrendered in December after being found with a dislocated hip, and her owner wanted nothing to do with her. But that won't stop this sassy spy from finding a new, furever family! Gertie needs your help to complete her mission: finding her perfect fit. Your mission, should you choose to accept, is to help share her post and connect her with the perfect person. Gertie loves to play rough and rowdy and would love a new male canine friend who does the same! She works best with older humans, as she does food guard. We are actively working on making her feel secure that no evil forces will steal her food again, but feeding her away from other pets and in a crate has been a safe space for her. Gertie is super strong and does pull on the leash. She loves to parkour and zip around the yard for exercise. She enjoys wrestling and swimming to keep herself in tip-top, evil-butt-kicking condition!

Ideal Home

Gertie would do best in a home without other female dogs. She also needs a home without young children.

Ongoing Health

Gertie came to us with a dislocated hip. We are currently working on addressing this.

Training & Support

Gertie is a food guard and we are actively working on this. Feeding her away from other pets and in a crate has been a safe space for her. She also pulls on the leash and would benefit from continued leash training.
