Meet Sassy, a sweet 7-year-old, 53-pound Staffordshire Terrier mix with a heart as big as her love to give! She came to us in January 2021 with her seven adorable puppies. Her babies have all found their forever homes, and now it's Sassy's turn to be showered with the love and attention she deserves. She's been patiently waiting and is currently our longest resident at the Bully Project, hoping to find her perfect match.
Sassy is a true "Velcro dog" who loves to be close to her people. She's incredibly food-motivated and eager to please, always responding well to positive interaction and attention. Her ideal day is a mix of cozy cuddles and exciting games of fetch in the yard. She also enjoys spending time with her dog friends, provided they have had proper introductions.
Ideal Home
Sassy would thrive in a home with a patient and understanding family. While she loves her people, she tends to prefer female humans, though she does have a soft spot for bearded men! To help her feel comfortable and confident, her new family will need to help her with introductions to new men. She walks beautifully on a leash and can do well with other dogs.
Ongoing Health
Sassy is spayed and vaccinated.
Training & Support
Sassy is a smart girl who is eager to learn and thrives with positive reinforcement. She is house-trained and knows basic commands. She does have some food-guarding tendencies, so she will need to be fed separately from other pets in the home to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable.
