Niko Bear the Easy Going Sweetheart

Niko Bear might look like he's ready to star in his own action movie, with his handsome looks and rugged exterior, but underneath that tough guy facade is one of the sweetest, gentlest souls you'll ever meet. He's a big guy, around 4 years old and 74 lbs, and we believe he's a Pittie/Shepherd mix. Niko is the definition of a gentle giant, with a calm and easygoing nature that makes life feel a little less rushed. He's not demanding of attention, content to mosey through life at his own pace, enjoying the company of his people. He can take a moment to warm up to new people, but once he does, he'll lean his entire body weight into you for affection in the most endearing way.

Ideal Home

Niko would be happiest in a home with a backyard where he can enjoy moseying around and taking in the fresh air at his own pace.

Ongoing Health

Niko is a healthy boy! All vetting, including DAPP vaccinations, Bordetella, Rabies, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and a microchip, is included in his adoption fee.

Training & Support

Niko is potty trained and has wonderful house manners. He is improving with crate training and is not destructive. He is working on his leash skills but is expected to be a great companion for neighborhood strolls.

Niko is located in Texas and can be transported to various locations, including WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Transportation is available via our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
