Kody

Kody is a sweet 4-year-old Maltese mix with a heartwarming story. He journeyed to us from Georgia after a difficult experience where he was hit by a car and left outside for 24 hours. Thankfully, his broken pelvis has healed, and he's ready for a fresh start! Kody is a bit shy at first and needs a patient person to help him build trust. Once he feels secure, he forms incredibly strong bonds. If you're looking for a quick connection and prefer not to invest the time for him to decompress, Kody might not be the best fit, as he can become defensive if pushed too soon. He's good with other dogs and shows no lingering issues from his past injuries.

Ideal Home

Kody would do best in a home with older children. He needs a patient and understanding adopter who will give him the time and space he needs to trust.

Ongoing Health

Kody's broken pelvis has healed completely, and he has no ongoing health issues related to his past injury.

Training & Support

Kody needs time to adjust and build trust. He may offer to bite if he feels overwhelmed or pushed too quickly. Patience and a gentle approach are key to his success.
