Athena is a beautiful 2-year-old, 53-pound Pit Bull mix who's looking for a patient and loving home where she can truly blossom! She was found near Lakeshore in Rockwall and, after not being reclaimed, became a cherished Diamond Dog. Athena can be a little shy when she first meets new people or settles into a new environment, but with kindness and consistency, her deeply affectionate and loyal personality shines through. She forms strong bonds with her humans and would thrive in a calm, stable home that allows her to gain confidence at her own pace.

Ideal Home

Athena would do well with calm, easygoing dogs and would also be happy as the only dog in the home, allowing her to focus all her love on her people. A meet-and-greet is required for any home with existing pets to ensure everyone gets along.

Ongoing Health

Athena has tested heartworm positive, but thankfully, her heartworm treatment is fully sponsored, giving her the best chance at a long, healthy life. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her rabies vaccination and boosters.

Training & Support

Athena walks nicely on a leash and is eager to learn, responding well to positive reinforcement. She just needs a little time and patience to build her confidence.
