Nellie (CAT FRIENDLY)

Hi there! My name is Nellie, and I'm a 4-year-old Shepherd mix with a heart full of love to give. I was found wandering near a busy road and thankfully, some kind people rescued me and brought me to safety. Now I'm all vetted, healthy, and ready to find my forever family! I'm a sweet girl who can be a little timid at first, but once I warm up, I'm incredibly affectionate. A few tasty treats will have me best friends with you in no time! I'm a smart cookie and know how to sit and wait for my food. I'm also a great car rider and sleep quietly at night. My leash training is going well, and I'm eager to continue learning with you. I'm dreaming of a family to go on walks with, enjoy pup cups, play in a safe yard, and shower me with love and tummy rubs. I'm a resilient, smart, playful, and affectionate companion looking for my happily ever after.

Ideal Home

I'd love a home where I can go on adventures, play in a yard, and get plenty of cuddles.

Ongoing Health

I'm up-to-date on all my vaccinations, have been tested for heartworm, and am on monthly preventatives. I've also been spayed.

Training & Support

I know basic commands like "sit" and "wait." I'm working on my leash training and would love a family who will continue to help me build confidence with continued training.

Application Details:

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• All dogs are fostered in Tennessee unless otherwise noted.
• We transport dogs to the East Coast; a transport fee will apply.
• All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, and are spayed or neutered.
• An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog.
• Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters by appointment only.
• Due to the high volume of applications, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications.
• Please be respectful of our dedicated volunteers' time.

Transportation

I am currently being fostered in Tennessee and am available for transport to the East Coast. A transport fee will apply.
