Meet Benson, a sweet and quiet boy with a heart of gold! Benson was found after being hit by a car in Texas, and he bravely underwent a leg amputation. He's a resilient soul who has learned that humans can be kind, offering good things like treats and a cool place to relax. Benson is a low-energy gentleman who enjoys observing life from your side, rather than demanding constant attention. He's perfectly content to hang out in the same room, keeping an eye on things and enjoying your company at his own pace.

Ideal Home

Benson would thrive in a calm and low-traffic home environment. He would do best with children over 12 who understand and respect a dog's boundaries. Loud or boisterous children might be overwhelming for him. He's also a tripod, so a home with minimal stairs would be ideal for his long-term comfort.

Ongoing Health

Benson is a tripod, having had a leg amputation. While he gets around just fine, a home with fewer stairs is preferred to help keep him comfortable.

Training & Support

Benson is potty-trained and rides beautifully in the car. He has been a perfect gentleman during vet visits and handling. His gentle nature means he doesn't crave constant excitement, but rather peace and a soft place to rest.
