Teddy

Teddy is a sweet Miniature Poodle/Golden Retriever mix who came to us from a commercial breeding facility. He had a very difficult life before coming to us, being used as a breeder dog his entire life. Teddy is currently very shut down but is slowly learning to trust us. He is a survivor and will need a special home to help him blossom.

Ideal Home

Teddy needs an adult-only home with at least one other dog, and a securely fenced-in yard to help him feel safe and build his confidence. He will thrive with adopters who understand his past and can give him the time and patience he needs to trust them and his new surroundings.

Ongoing Health

Teddy is a puppy mill survivor, and while he has no known current health issues, he may have had them in the past. We are committed to ensuring our animals receive the best care possible.

Training & Support

Teddy is still learning to trust and adjust to new experiences. He will need adopters who can move slowly, be patient, keep expectations reasonable, and provide understanding and positive reinforcement. It's important to remember that everything is new and potentially overwhelming for him – people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, and more. With the right guidance and a lot of love, he can grow into a happy, confident companion.
