Max

Max is a sweet 10-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who found himself in our care when his beloved owner had a stroke. Despite his senior years, Max is a happy and loving boy who is adapting wonderfully to his vision impairment. He has cataracts, but he can still follow light and navigates his surroundings by listening for your voice, even coming in and out of doors with confidence. Max absolutely adores being held and will happily snuggle up with you for as long as you'll let him. He has a strong heart with no murmur.

Ideal Home

Max would love a home where he can receive plenty of gentle attention and reassurance. His ability to navigate by sound means he'll thrive in an environment where he feels secure and can easily learn his way around.

Ongoing Health

Max has cataracts, but he is otherwise healthy. He has a strong heart with no murmur. He is current on his vaccines, is heartworm negative, and is up-to-date on his flea, tick, and heartworm medications.

Training & Support

Max has already learned to navigate his environment by voice and can come in and out of doors, which is fantastic! He loves to be held and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement and a calm, supportive environment.
