DENNY

Denny is a playful 1-year-old German Shepherd x Chow Chow mix who weighed 48 pounds on intake. He arrived at the shelter after being found running around South Davis Park. Sadly, no one came forward as his owner, so he is now looking for his new place to call home! Denny loves to play keep away, so he will need a home that can keep him contained – supervised in a fenced-in yard, on a leash, or secure tie-out. He enjoys going outside on his walks and is looking for a home that can provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Denny has done well at keeping his kennel clean/accident-free while at the shelter, indicating that he may already be housebroken, but please keep in mind that there is always an adjustment period.

Ideal Home

Denny will need a home that can keep him contained, such as a fenced-in yard, on a leash, or a secure tie-out. Since Denny was a stray, we do not know if he has experience around children or other animals, so please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with all.

We encourage Denny's next owner to enroll him in a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners.
