Hi there! I'm Marzipan, but you can call me Marzie! I'm a sweet, shy girl who's still learning to trust and feel comfortable around people. It takes me a while to warm up, and I tend to avoid loud noises, busy streets, and cars, so walks aren't my favorite. I much prefer the cozy safety of home! I get along well with other dogs and enjoy their company, though I tend to keep to myself. I'm also good with cats and leave them to their own devices. I'm mostly housebroken, which is a great start! I really thrive when I have a quiet, patient home with a fenced yard where I can safely explore and be myself. I'm a bit of a flight risk due to my shyness, so a secure yard is a must. While I might be a little reserved at first, I promise there's a loving heart tucked away inside, just waiting for the right person to show me kindness and understanding. With time, I know I'll blossom!
Ideal Home
Marzipan needs a quiet, patient home with a fenced yard where she can safely explore and feel secure. Due to her shyness and flight risk, a securely fenced yard is essential. Gentle older children may be okay, but very small children will likely scare her.
Ongoing Health
Marzipan's adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), diagnostic testing, and any additional medical procedures recommended by our vet. She also comes with 1 month of flea/tick & heartworm preventatives.
Training & Support
Marzipan is still learning and has not mastered any commands. She is mostly housebroken. She dislikes loud noises and excessive petting, but enjoys spray cheese, other dogs, sniffing in the yard, and being outside. She will benefit from training and behavior support, which includes 1-month access to Petcademy.
