Meet Honey!

Honey is a 3 ½-year-old sweetheart with the gentlest soul. She has come a long way, but she’s still learning that the world can be a safe place. Because of this, she is looking for a very patient and understanding adopter who will allow her to adjust at her own pace. Honey absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help show her the ropes. She also gets along well with cats and is wonderful in her crate. She is an extremely timid girl and will need several weeks—possibly longer—to fully decompress in a new home. New people can be very scary for her, and earning her trust takes time. Her future family should understand that she may not be comfortable being touched right away, and that’s okay. Giving her the space and patience she needs will help her build confidence and form an incredible bond when she’s ready.

Ideal Home

Honey would do best in a quiet home without children. A securely fenced yard is also preferred, as it will provide her with a safe environment to explore and gain confidence. She thrives with other dogs and would love a confident canine companion.

Ongoing Health

Honey currently takes medication to help manage her anxiety, and she has been doing well with the extra support.

Training & Support

Honey is a timid girl and will need several weeks, possibly longer, to fully decompress in a new home. Earning her trust takes time, and she may not be comfortable being touched right away. Patience and giving her space will help her build confidence.
