Panda is a shy but sweet two-year-old, 50-pound Pittie mix who is as mellow as his name suggests. He loves his toys, chew bones, and daily walks, thriving on routine and structure. Panda is a true rescue dog, eager to form a deep bond with his adopter and reward them with unconditional love. He's also a professional car passenger and loves to snuggle up on the couch or in bed with his people. When he's not cuddling, he's happily snoozing in his kennel, which he's fully trained to use.
Ideal Home
Panda would thrive in a quiet, serene suburban or rural home. He needs to be in a home with at least one other dog, as he draws a lot of confidence from his canine companions and is happiest with other dogs. He has previously lived with children aged 5 and up and did well, but requires a home where children are respectful and sweet towards him. He is not recommended for a home with cats.
Ongoing Health
Panda is a rescue and has received all necessary vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also been tested for heartworm.
Training & Support
Panda is house-trained and kennel-trained. He is great on leash and enjoys tandem walks. He will need a patient adopter who will allow him a full decompression period. Our behavior team and his foster mom are available to provide guidance and support during this time.
