About Sherpa Throw

Sherpa is a charming 2-3 year old, 80lb canine looking for his forever home! He was found in a tough spot, needing significant medical care for wounds, fleas, and heartworms. After months of dedicated treatment, Sherpa bounced back with a joyful spirit and a zest for life! He’s an intelligent and diligent dog with a touch of independence, much like a dedicated working dog. Sherpa is friendly and gets along with other large dogs, but he’s often more focused on his own adventures or tasks. He’s a sweet boy who aims to please, though he's still learning the finer points of social skills as he matures.

Ideal Home

Sherpa would thrive in a home where he can continue to explore and engage in activities. He is friendly with people and similar-sized dogs.

Ongoing Health

Sherpa has made a full recovery from his previous medical issues, including heartworms. He is vaccinated and neutered.

Training & Support

Sherpa is currently enrolled at Instinct Dog Behavior and Training, where he's doing wonderfully in scent work and improving his communication skills. His adopter will receive 8 FREE private training sessions with Instinct's trainers, offering both in-person (for those in NYC or willing to travel) and virtual options to ensure his smooth transition and continued success.
