Ryder

Ryder is a handsome 4-year-old Irish Doodle, weighing about 55 pounds. He's a smart and capable boy who listens well and has excellent recall. He's already house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained, making him a well-mannered companion. Ryder loves people, but he's still learning to understand that children are people too and can be a bit too boisterous around them. He's looking for a dog-savvy home that can provide firm, gentle guidance to help him learn to respect younger humans.

Ideal Home

A cat-free home is a must, as Ryder has a strong prey drive. He's generally good with other dogs, but he would truly blossom in a home that's comfortable with at-home grooming.

Ongoing Health

Ryder was mistreated during grooming when he was young, making it a scary experience for him. He does well when muzzled, accepting it without a fuss, and we'd love for him to find a family who can help him feel more comfortable with grooming.

Training & Support

Ryder is extremely intelligent and needs a very dog-savvy owner who can provide consistent, gentle, yet firm leadership. He needs to learn to respect children, so a home without very young children would be ideal.

Transportation

Ryder is currently in a foster home in South Mississippi. We personally transport our adopted animals to you every 2-3 weeks. We can facilitate transport to areas near the city of [City Name, if provided, otherwise omit]. We are able to travel to VA, MD, PA, NJ, CT, VT, and NY.
