Meet Lucy!
Poor Lucy was just a baby when found on the streets in rural Texas. She was taken to the shelter so afraid of the loud noises that she clung to her stuffed toy pig for safety. Her foster mom saw her post and knew immediately she did not belong there and swooped her up. Now…on to the good part… Lucy is a beautiful young pup with the kind of heart that makes you feel instantly loved. At about a year old and 35 pounds, she’s the perfect size for adventures and snuggles—and she truly believes her favorite place in the world is right by your side. Lucy is the definition of a velcro dog. She bonds deeply with her people and wants to be close, whether that means following you from room to room, curling up nearby, or simply watching you with her soft, loving eyes. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will adore you completely, Lucy is your girl.
Ideal Home
Lucy would thrive with a confident canine friend around her size. Another dog would be a wonderful playmate and help her feel more secure when you’re away, as she’s still learning that alone time is okay.
Ongoing Health
Lucy is a young pup and has no known health conditions.
Training & Support
Lucy is crate trained and potty trained, though she may cry a bit when left alone—she’s still a puppy figuring things out and learning to feel safe. She rides well in the car, is mostly good on a leash, and is eager to keep learning. Her puppy energy comes with a soft, affectionate nature that makes her a joy to be around.
