Himari is a sweet 10-month-old terrier mix who is approximately 22 lbs and expected to grow to around 33 lbs. She was born at the shelter after her pregnant mother was rescued. Himari is a docile, affectionate, playful, friendly, and loving girl who is learning to trust people. She can be a little shy and nervous around new faces, but once she opens up, she's full of love to give! She's very active and enjoys running and playing with her dog friends.
Ideal Home
Himari would do best in a home with families who have an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals and are willing to provide protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly recommended. She requires a high tolerance and patience, as she is still learning and may have an adjustment period in a new environment. She is NOT house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Himari has received a comprehensive health protocol including a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, negative heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive (fleas, ticks, and heartworm). She also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Himari is not house-trained and will require patience and consistency in this area. She is learning to trust and may need ongoing support to overcome any shyness or nervousness around new people. Understanding that rescued dogs may have had traumatic pasts and may need time to decompress is crucial.
