Max

This fine looking gentleman is "Max"! He is a mixed breed and just under a year old. It's hard to tell what breeds he is mixed with, but he has a Shepherd-like face with a strip of courser hair, like a Terrier, along his back. Max is silly, goofy, playful, affectionate, and very high-energy.

Ideal Home

Max would thrive in a home with another playful dog to help him expend his energy, or with a very active family – ideally, both! A physically fenced yard is a must for Max, as is a household ready for a young, active dog. He would do best with children aged 5 and up. While we don't have direct history with cats, if a kitty can tolerate his playful energy, they might just get along!

Ongoing Health

Max is fully vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative (and on prevention), and microchipped. He is currently a bit on the skinny side but is eating well and expected to reach around 50 lbs once he fills out.

Training & Support

Max is crate and potty trained, knows his name, and has some basic command knowledge. He's a social dog who likes to be involved. While he isn't a big barker, his bark can be quite strong when provoked, much like a Shepherd. He's improving on leash and enjoys his daily walks, especially the stop at the fire station for a cookie!
