Captain

Captain is a handsome 4-year-old Bully mix who weighs about 56 lbs. He's a sweet boy who loves to lean into you for pets and rest his head on your lap. Captain is always in a good mood and loves to snuggle, go for walks, and enjoy ice cubes! He found his way to us as a stray and spent some time with our vet partner getting all his medical needs taken care of.

Ideal Home

Captain would do best in a home with kids 8 years and older, as he can be a bit boisterous and might accidentally knock over smaller children. He also needs to be in a home with dogs his size or larger, as small dogs can trigger his prey drive. A home without cats is a must.

Ongoing Health

Captain has a grade 3 heart murmur that only appears when he's excited or worked up. It's not expected to affect his quality of life or lifespan. He is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Captain is working on not pulling on the leash when he sees small animals, and also on reducing nibbling when he's excited for attention. He's also being encouraged to curb his enthusiastic licking of foster family members. He is house-trained and crate-trained, and currently sleeps in his crate.
