Lessie

Meet Lessie, a gentle and shy girl who is ready for a second chance at a happy life. Lessie was found tied to a fence at our shelter in Mexico, but despite her difficult past, she is incredibly sweet and loves the company of other dogs. She's a nervous girl in a loud, overwhelming environment like the shelter, but with patience and understanding, she's starting to gain confidence. She's already showing great potential, especially on the leash, thanks to the help of our dog trainer!

Ideal Home

Lessie would thrive in a quiet, calm, and predictable home. She'd do best with teens or adults only, as she's not suited for young children. A home with a big yard, a ranch, or an owner who enjoys hiking would be wonderful for her. Another friendly dog to be her companion would be a big bonus!

Ongoing Health

Lessie is a healthy girl who has been spayed.

Training & Support

Lessie is potty trained and leash trained! She will need a patient and experienced owner to help her continue to build confidence and feel safe.

Transportation

Lessie is located near Bucerias, Mexico. Approved adopters can have their new pup flown to them in the US or Canada with the help of volunteer flight angels departing from Puerto Vallarta. If a Canadian flight angel isn't available during the summer months, arrangements can be made for pickup at Peace Arch Park on the US-Canada border.
