Miss Mila has come into rescue due to unfortunate circumstances because her owner became ill and could no longer take proper care of her. We are here to send Mila onto the next chapter of her life and that is finding her the perfect forever family. Mila is a five-year-old Shar Pei and weighs around 50 pounds. She has some great attributes! Mila is good with other dogs and could easily acclimate to a family that already has resident dogs, or she would be fine as an only dog. She is initially shy with new people but will warm up quickly, and that's when this girl shines and her personality is front and center. She has not had the opportunity to be introduced to children or cats since coming into rescue so it remains unknown how she would do with them. What we do know is that she has a medium energy level that will make her a perfect fit for the average active family. She loves to go on car rides, so Mila will make a great car companion for short errands to long adventures and anything in between. This girl has a couple of aces up her sleeve: Mila is house trained, crate trained, and also leash trained. Daily walks and strolls through the neighborhood will be a delight to her senses and provide wonderful opportunities for Mila to meet and greet new people and other dogs.
Ideal Home
Mila would do well in a home with or without other dogs, but it's unknown how she would do with children or cats. She has a medium energy level and would be a perfect fit for the average active family.
Ongoing Health

Training & Support
Mila is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. While she is house trained, accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Dogs thrive on structure and routine, and adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability.
