Meet Louie!

Louie is a goofy, affectionate boy with a larger-than-life personality and is always up for an adventure. He's full of energy and would thrive with an active adopter who enjoys walks, playtime, training, and finding fun ways to keep his busy mind engaged. He's a smart dog who will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training and is sure to reward your efforts with plenty of love, laughs, and loyal companionship. Louie has lived successfully with a cat before and may enjoy a playful canine companion, but he's selective about his dog friends and would need slow introductions.

Ideal Home

Louie is best suited for a home with teenagers or older children who won't be accidentally knocked over during his happy, bouncy moments. A home where he won't need to share a fence line with neighboring dogs would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Louie needs appropriate outlets for chewing, especially when he's bored or frustrated. Providing plenty of durable chew toys, enrichment activities, and exercise will help him channel his energy in positive ways.

Training & Support

Louie can become reactive when behind barriers like fences and may bark or grumble at dogs while on leash out of frustration. His new family should be prepared to help him manage these behaviors and build his confidence in these situations.
