Buddy Edward

Buddy Edward is a middle-aged Shih Tzu with a love for cuddles and a bit of a belly to match! He snorts like a bulldog and waddles with charm. He arrived with us at 18 lbs and our vet says his bloodwork looks great, but we're working on his weight because obesity can cause health problems. His foster is helping him slim down with a special diet and one meal a day. Buddy has beautiful curly white and tan fur. He used to have bald spots from skin infections, but they've all grown back! As with any Shih Tzu, he'll need regular, extensive grooming.

Ideal Home

Buddy is looking for a committed family who will cherish him. He has lived with cats, small dogs, and big dogs in his foster home and enjoys their company.

Ongoing Health

Buddy's bloodwork is excellent. His weight is a current focus for his health and well-being. He is up to date on vaccines, has been dewormed, is microchipped, and neutered. He tested negative for heartworms and is on prevention.

Training & Support

Buddy is leash-trained and potty-trained. He loves car rides and going anywhere with his people!

Transporation

Buddy is currently being fostered in Texas. Transportation options are available to the PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN), or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) via our transport partners. Buddy is also eligible for travel on Southwest Airlines from Houston to any major airport approved by SWAAT. Canadian adopters will need to meet us at a location in the USA.
