Forever Home Wanted: Meet Cody!

This handsome young boy found himself at the overcrowded San Bernardino shelter with no identification, no collar, no tag, and no microchip. Once his stray hold was up, we knew he would be at risk, so we welcomed him into rescue. Cody was a little reserved when he first arrived, but with the help of his canine foster siblings and a little patience, he’s blossomed into an incredible companion. Because he can be a bit shy in new environments, we think he’d do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog to help show him the ropes and continue building his confidence. He’s dog friendly with dogs of all sizes, kid friendly (toddlers included), loves every adult he’s met, and is even tortoise friendly if you happen to have one! Cody is house trained, walks beautifully on leash, and is an absolute gentleman in the home. He doesn’t get on the furniture, sleeps quietly on the floor beside his foster family’s bed all night, and rarely makes a peep—even when the other dogs are barking at something outside. While he isn’t comfortable being crated, he has excellent house manners and does wonderfully with freedom in the home. Simply put, Cody is an easy, loving, low-maintenance dog who is ready to become someone’s best friend. His gentle nature and calm personality make him a joy to have around, and we know his perfect family is out there.

Cody is healthy and has no known ongoing health conditions.

Training & Support

Cody is house-trained and walks beautifully on a leash. He has excellent house manners and does wonderfully with freedom in the home. While he isn’t comfortable being crated, this is not a concern due to his good behavior.
