Meet Salem! SEE STRAYCATION UPDATES BELOW! HOUSE-TRAINED, CRATE-TRAINED & LOVES OTHER PUPS!
This handsome fellow is a year old and 45 pounds of terrific terrier! He arrived at GLDR with his sister Velma and he is ready to say so long to the kennel and begin life with his forever family.
Salem recently enjoying some much needed time in a fabulous foster home. We are excited to share all we've learned about this sensitive guy. House-trained and crate-trained, Salem aims to please! He got along wonderfully with his two foster fur sisters and will benefit from having another confident dog in the home. If your dog is looking for a canine companion, come meet Salem! While he is a fan of other dogs, a home free of cats and other small animals would be preferred for Salem.
This gentle pup rides well in the car and does great on leash. He's been to the local coffee house, state park, and Pet Supplies Plus too. He's ready to join you on all of your adventures! While he can be timid with new people, once he feels comfortable, he is a very connecting boy. When he gives you that first kiss and gently lays his head on your lap, you'll be hooked just like us.
As he is still a young man, Salem will thrive with continued training, daily exercise, and a yard to enjoy in his new home. He loves plushy toys and is a fan of cucumbers for a snack. His foster parents we able to take both food and toys away with no issue. At the end of the day, he sleeps quietly through the night. With consistency and encouragement, Salem will be your truest companion for years to come.
Based on our evaluation, we feel Salem would do best in an active, predictable home with adults or families with kids ages 12 and up. We think he'll do best with a furry canine pal, and are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby.
