Journey is a three-and-a-half-year-old, neutered male husky with striking black and white markings, weighing in at 45-50 pounds. Born on August 17, 2022, Journey has a remarkable story. He was famously rescued during a hurricane in Houston, where he bravely swam to shore before being safely caught. This adventurous spirit still shines through, and he absolutely loves water! Since his rescue a year and a half ago, Journey has discovered the joys of a stable, loving home and is eager to find his forever family. He's a social butterfly with other dogs, getting along wonderfully with most medium and large male and female dogs, though he has a slight preference against one particular red husky. Journey would thrive in a home with school-aged children, a couple, or a single person who will include him in their daily adventures. He's not suited for apartment living and would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play. Journey enjoys car rides and knows his basic commands, but he is not off-leash trained.

Journey would do best in a home that can accommodate his love for the outdoors and provide him with ample space to play. He needs a securely fenced yard for his adventures and is not suited for apartment living.
Ongoing Health
Journey is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative, and is on monthly preventatives. He has also been neutered and microchipped.
Training & Support
Journey knows his basic commands but is not yet trained for off-leash activities. He would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to build his confidence in this area.
