Frederick is a two-year-old, 35-pound adventure buddy with a big personality, a goofy streak, and an endless enthusiasm for life! He loves being part of whatever you're doing, whether it's a walk around the neighborhood, a weekend road trip, or a quick errand. Frederick is always ready to hop into the car and explore new places with his people. He absolutely loves walks and investigating interesting smells, and after a good play session, he's happy to settle down for a nap. He's affectionate, friendly with strangers, and enjoys being close to his people. Frederick is house trained, crate trained, and knows commands like "sit" and "kennel up." He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them, so he would likely thrive with a canine companion or regular playdates.
Ideal Home
A home that enjoys daily walks and adventures would be a dream come true for Frederick. He could do well in a variety of homes, including an apartment or townhouse, provided he gets the exercise and enrichment he craves.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned. He will be neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm testing, and flea/tick prevention. Future annual vaccines, testing, and monthly heartworm preventative are required and will be the adopter's responsibility.
Training & Support
Frederick is eager to work for treats and would love a family that continues helping him learn. He can be a little enthusiastic at the start of a walk but settles in nicely once moving. Positive reinforcement training with Wags is required as a condition for all adoptions. Preference will be given to adopters who commit to completing our six-week Canine 101 training class in person.
