A little about them
Franny is a quiet, affectionate 6-year-old Westie/Poodle mix weighing about 11 pounds. After life in a puppy mill, she is still learning about home life and does best with patient people who give her time to feel comfortable. Once she settles in, she enjoys cuddling beside her people, relaxing together, and celebrating their return with a few happy barks.
Ideal Home
Franny would thrive in a quiet, laid-back home with adults, seniors, or older children. A busy household with young children would be too much for her. She really loves other dogs and would benefit from a friendly, compatible canine companion. Access to a safe outdoor area would be wonderful, though a fenced yard is not required. She would do best with someone home more often than not.
Cats are unknown.
Ongoing Health
Every adoption includes spay/neuter, core vaccines, rabies vaccination when age-appropriate, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, parasite treatment, a microchip, dental surgery if recommended by the veterinary partner, and 30 days of Trupanion Pet Insurance.
Her 4DX test for heartworm and tick-borne diseases is included when age-appropriate.
Training & Support
Franny walks on leash, enjoys outdoor time, and is a good passenger in the car. She is making progress with house training but still has occasional accidents; consistency and a good routine will help. She is not crate trained, though she is non-destructive when left alone for a few hours. She enjoys visiting people and places and will benefit from patience as she continues adjusting to home life.
Adopters also receive a session with a positive reinforcement trainer and ongoing support from the rescue team.
