About Pintail Pond Golden Retrievers

One handsome male Golden Retriever puppy is available as of June 26th!

Pintail Pond Farm Golden Retrievers are bred to be excellent family dogs, with temperament and health as our top priorities. We begin ENS and ESI training from day one, followed by sound and confidence building exercises. Potty training starts at four weeks, and we consistently trim nails, deworm every two weeks, and provide veterinary check-ups at six weeks. At seven weeks, our puppies visit a nursing home to socialize with residents, ensuring they go to their new homes at eight weeks old as well-started, happy, content, and loved companions.

Ongoing Health

All puppies receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough vet exam before going home. They are dewormed at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks.

Training & Support

Puppies begin potty training at four weeks and are well-socialized through various confidence-building activities and visits to a nursing home.

  • Each puppy will go home with a goodie bag including vet records, limited registration paperwork, a sample of their current food, a blanket with mom/littermates' scent, a toy, and lots of love.

Meet Pintail Pond Golden Retrievers. Hi! We are Laura and Calenn from Pintail Pond Farm. once upon a time, in 2021, we sold our home on the edge of town to raise our eight sweet and rambunctious kids on “the farm”. We bought an old farmstead on the outskirts of Pease, MN. Incredulously, we are the first owners of this 120 acre farm since the original family deeded it from the government in the 1800’s! We are currently renovating the original farmhouse, and much of the property. Calenn is a Montana farm boy import to Minnesota, and is an old hand at all the many things here that need fixing and building. We are raising red angus breeding stock (thanks Rich Red Angus!), have horses, a milk cow, a kitty named granny, and our prize golden retrievers (Bunny, Two Gun Gwenny, Boone, and Crockett)! It is an exciting new adventure for us, and our hope is to raise high quality, healthy, friendly, and well behaved dogs and puppies. We are rearing our puppies with love and care, and are reaching out to vets and other more experienced breeders for input and guidance. Our driveway is long and bumpy, the farmyard is pretty muddy, but we have faith that this is the start of something truly special.
