About Hazard (Neutered) (Bonded Pair w/Moose) (Photos 9/28/2025)

Hazard is a handsome 9-year-old male German Shepherd with a blond, medium-length coat and a long, bushy tail. He has a classic German Shepherd face with dark brown eyes, a slender muzzle, a chocolate brown nose, and impressively large, erect ears. Hazard arrived at HSOV on October 24, 2024, along with his best friend, Moose. They were surrendered by their owner on September 3, 2025, and have been a beloved part of our safe-keeping program since then. Hazard and Moose share a large suite with access to a private outdoor patio, and their bond is evident in their interactions. They are both described as extra-friendly with super-sweet personalities, and they absolutely love attention. Hazard, also known as Hazzy, is a big talker, while Moose is more laid-back and quiet. They are quite the "odd couple" but clearly love each other dearly and are the best of dogs! Hazard is very scared of thunderstorms but enjoys raw green and red bell peppers, while both he and Moose love watermelon. Hazard is also a fan of balls and squeaky toys.

Ideal Home

Hazard and Moose would thrive in a home that can accommodate their bonded pair status. It's important to note that Hazard is not good with cats.

Ongoing Health

Hazard underwent surgery on January 15, 2025, to remove a couple of masses from his lower back. He was also neutered and received a rabies vaccination during the same procedure.

Training & Support

Hazard is a big talker and can be scared of thunderstorms. His owner mentioned he loves balls and squeaky toys, and both he and Moose enjoy watermelon and bell peppers. Moose has a beloved stuffed animal that may need replacing over time.
