He was once left tied to a tree, but after being rescued and professionally trained, he became a registered Emotional Support Animal. Sadly, his beloved owner passed away, and now Maverick is ready to offer his unwavering loyalty to a new person. He thrives on structure, routine, and calm leadership, and in return, he gives deep affection. Maverick isn't a social butterfly; he prefers a close-knit circle. He is independent, confident, and truly authentic.
Ideal Home
Maverick would thrive in a calm, low-traffic household with an experienced dog owner who values leadership and consistency. He is looking for a home that is dog-free or one where slow, structured introductions can be made. He appreciates independence over constant cuddling and needs a patient, confident person who is ready to earn his trust and loyalty. If children are present, gentle, respectful introductions will be essential, as his experience with them is unknown.
Ongoing Health
Maverick is fully vetted, up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, and microchipped. His Emotional Support Animal status is current and can be renewed by his next caretaker for the right home.
Training & Support
Maverick is a well-trained dog who responds beautifully to confident handling. He is trained with Bellum K-9, and future training is included with his adoption. He tolerates a crate but would prefer to have the freedom to be near his person.
