Meet Rufus, a delightful 2-year-old Cockapoo/Shih Tzu mix who's ready to steal your heart! At 22 pounds, he's the perfect size for cuddles and adventures. Rufus has a big heart and a tail that never stops wagging, even after his rescue from life on the streets. He's now cleaned up, safe, and showing off his joyful, clever, and affectionate personality. Belly rubs are his absolute favorite thing!

Ideal Home

Rufus would thrive in a home with active humans who can appreciate his zest for life. While he loves other dogs and would do well with a playful canine companion, he can also be an only dog. Due to his exuberance, Rufus is best suited for a home without children under 10.

Ongoing Health

Rufus is fully vetted and ready for his forever home! He has been neutered, microchipped, is heartworm negative, and is up-to-date on all his vaccines.

Training & Support

Rufus is a smart boy who knows "sit" and comes when called. He is crate trained and house-trained, provided he is kept on a consistent schedule. He's always eager to please and learns quickly because he cares.

Transporation

Rufus is currently located in Houston, TX. We arrange transport to bring our adoptable pets to you. Once your application is approved, we can schedule a FaceTime session to meet him. Once approved, we will arrange transport via climate-controlled vans from our rescue ranch in Fulshear, TX, to a location near you. You will be kept updated in real-time on your dog's journey and provided with an estimated time of arrival.
