Calliope

Calliope is a charming 5-year-old Belgian Malinois mix who arrived with us on March 29, 2024. She loves to be by your side and is eager to be involved in everything you do! While she can be a bit vocal and has a knack for escaping crates to stay close, her humans are working on helping her gain more independence, which she's gradually accepting. Calli enjoys playing with her dog friends, though she prefers not to share her food or toys. She also loves to relax in the sun and keep an eye on her favorite people. She's a bright girl who is already mastering basic commands like sit and down, and she's doing wonderfully with leash and place training.

Ideal Home

Calliope would thrive in a home where she can be a constant companion. She is working on her independence, so patience and continued training will be key.

Calliope is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Calliope is a quick learner and is already doing well with basic commands, leash training, and place training. She is not a fan of being crated for long periods and tends to bark when she feels she's missing out. She also prefers to keep her food and toys to herself when playing with other dogs. Continued positive reinforcement and a consistent routine will help her succeed.
