Sansa is a charming Chihuahua-Cocker Spaniel mix with a heart full of love to give! This sweet girl, born on April 18, 2025, is approximately 10 months old and weighs around 10 lbs, making her a perfectly petite companion. Sansa was surrendered by her previous family but remains a happy, playful, and affectionate pup ready for her next adventure. She gets along wonderfully with cats, other dogs, and people of all ages. While she might bark at strangers initially, it's just her way of being watchful, and she warms up with a little patience and reassurance.

Ongoing Health
Sansa has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. She has also tested negative for heartworm, has a negative 4DX test, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Sansa is crate trained and is doing well with her potty habits in the yard. While she may bark at strangers, with patience, she warms up quickly. She is described as an intelligent dog and would benefit from continued training and a family willing to provide a home with a fenced backyard. Understanding that rescued dogs need time to adjust is crucial, and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities would be a great fit.

Transportation
Sansa is currently being fostered in Matamoros, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast. We organize scheduled trips 3-4 times a year with a contracted transport company. Pets are transported across the border into Texas and then delivered door-to-door. A one-time transport fee of $400 USD applies. You will receive real-time updates throughout the journey in a private Facebook Messenger group.
