Rufus

Meet Rufus, a delightful 2-year-old, 22lb Cockapoo/Shih Tzu mix who's ready to steal your heart! This smart and sweet pup was found wandering the streets of Texas but is now safe and adored, showcasing his joyful, clever, and affectionate personality. Rufus loves belly rubs and is the perfect "pick me up" size without being fragile. He's great on a leash, knows "sit," and is eager to learn, coming when called. Rufus is crate trained and house-trained when kept on a schedule, and he's always trying to figure things out because he genuinely wants to be a good boy.

Ideal Home

Rufus absolutely LOVES other dogs and enjoys playing with them at the Rescue Ranch. He would thrive with another playful dog or could do well as an only dog with active humans. Due to his boundless enthusiasm, Rufus is best suited for a home with no children under 10.

Ongoing Health

Rufus is completely vetted and ready to go to his forever home. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccines.

Training & Support

Rufus is not naughty, just exuberant! He is eager to learn and will thrive with a dog-loving person who understands he may need a little time to adjust and settle into his new family.
