She's that just-right size, substantial enough for big bear hugs and sturdy hikes, but still convinced she can fit into your lap like a tiny puppy. She's a big girl with an even bigger heart, wrapped in a coat that shimmers like a sunset. She is currently flourishing in a loving foster home, where she's been soaking up life and learning the ropes, proving that she is as sweet as her name implies. Coco is a social butterfly who is always happy to meet new people with a wagging tail. She's so smart and eager to learn, especially if there is food involved! If you're looking for a partner to join you for training sessions, Coco is your girl; she's a total foodie who will work overtime for a snack! Whether she's showing off her impeccable leash manners or giving out free kisses, she's a girl who just wants to be part of the family action. Ideal Home

Coco would thrive in a house rather than an apartment setting because she has a classic, vocal Shepherd personality and likes to tell you all about her day. She would thrive with an active family who is familiar with the Shepherd breed and understands their loyal, intelligent nature.

Ongoing Health

Coco is up to date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, and flea prevention. She will also receive a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, a heartworm test, and treatment if needed. She is microchipped with free lifetime registration.

Training & Support

Coco is a leash walking pro and a kiss-giving enthusiast. She is learning to socialize with other dogs and is making great progress every day. She is polite and respectful of boundaries. She is eager to learn, especially if there's food involved, and would be a great partner for training sessions. While she prefers to be your one and only star, she could be a great match for a calm, confident canine companion who can show her the ropes if you already have a dog. Her reaction to cats is unknown, but she is gentle and affectionate and may be more interested in making friends than chasing them. A supervised sleepover with a cat would be needed for a definitive answer.

Transportation

Coco is located in Texas. Transport is available nationwide through our rescue, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. There is an $87 surcharge for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
