Snooty entered Chula Vista Animal Care Facility as a stray, and sadly, he wasn't claimed. It's hard to imagine that someone wasn't missing this super friendly, lovey-dovey cutie pie. Snooty is estimated to be 10 years old and weighs 71 lbs. Because of a front limb deformity and arthritis, he's not built for long walks, stairs, or high-energy adventures - he's much more of a "Netflix and chill" kind of guy.
Snooty gets along well with other dogs and has been wonderful at adoption events, where everyone falls in love with his gentle, easygoing personality. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's all about cuddles and couch time, this charming fellow could be your perfect match!
Snooty recently returned from spending a month in a foster home, and his foster mom has only wonderful things to share about him:
"This adorable low rider loves cuddles, naps, belly rubs, slow walks in his booties, being a baked potato, meeting new friends, and giving kisses. He is 100% house-trained and exhibits no separation anxiety.
Our typical day starts with morning cuddles, then we put his booties on to go outside. Snooty drags his front paws, so the booties protect them from injury. He is great in the car. He loves a trip to the park to run bootie free in the grass after the squirrels and birds. We attended pack walks in a wagon and enjoyed grass time at the events with other dogs. Snooty tended a sorority meet up where the girls swooned over him with belly rubs. Meeting people and dogs make him happy.
In the beginning, when I left for work, Snooty sat at the door and cried for less than 10 minutes. That soon went away when he became comfortable with my work schedule and learned that he got treats when I left. While I was gone, he entertained himself by watching the word from the patio, taking naps, and working on chews. When I came home, he was always curled up fast asleep in the bedroom. Then, when he saw me he gave happy "snoots" and tail wags.
Snooty will do best in a home with limited stairs in his area. He loves to sleep in bed and has the cutest little snore."
